Q:    Do you have both abridged and unabridged books?

A:    90% of our books are UNABRIDGED (complete book) and many of our titles ONLY come UNABRIDGED on TAPE or CD but not on both.

This is due to the book publishers releasing many Abridged titles only on CD.  This is a problem we see changing “slowly” since most new cars only have CD players. Many older titles are not released UNABRIDGED on CD so the only way to get many titles (by Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, Janet Evonovich, John Sandford, Michael Connelly, etc,) is on TAPE.  [AUDIO Book LIBRARY sells/rents a wireless FM adapter that along with a cassette player; will allow you to play the book on TAPE thru your car FM and listen to it thru your car speakers.]  AUDIO Book LIBRARY also sells an amplified speaker called Music Tote.

***  Abridged books (Fiction) can be seriously shortened.  For example:  The DaVinci Code is 16 hours Unabridged and 6 hours Abridged.  Angels and Demons is 19 hours Unabridged and 7 hours Abridged.  Prey is 13 hours Unabridged and 6 hoursAbridged.

Q:  What do you mean I can “FREEZE” my account?

A:  If you are unable to listen to a book during your Pre-Paid rental period; simply return ALL audio books with a note to FREEZE (or Pause) your account.  Then call, email or fax AUDIO Book LIBRARY when you are able to begin again.
